CRISIS IN ANN ARBOR: WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON INSIDE MICHIGAN ATHLETICS?

temp-post-image

The University of Michigan likes to call itself “the leaders and best.” Over the last few years, though, its athletic department has looked less like a model of stability and more like a case study in how quickly a blue-blood program can lose the plot.

The latest proof dropped like a bomb this week.

On Wednesday, Michigan abruptly fired head football coach Sherrone Moore “for cause,” saying a university investigation found credible evidence that he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member in violation of school policy. Athletic director Warde Manuel emphasized a “zero-tolerance” stance in a written statement.

Hours later, Moore was detai...

A Season of Impact, Growth, and Community Revival

In the heart of Detroit, a city known for resilience and reinvention, InterCapital Funding (ICF) has quietly become a lifeline for people who often feel overlooked by traditional financial institutions. Known widely as “The Bank for the Unbankable,” the company has spent more than 30 years mastering real estate and finance—yet its true strength lies in its commitment to uplifting families and transforming communities.

As the 2025 holiday season approaches, ICF’s mission has grown more powerful than ever. The organization has joined forces with major partners—including Amazon, Horace Sheffield, and G...

THE MISTAKES WE MAKE AFTER A BAD BREAKUP

For Beautiful Machine Magazine

temp-post-image

Breakups are rarely clean exits. Even when the last goodbye has been spoken, many of us continue to carry emotional fragments from a failed relationship like invisible luggage. We move on physically, but the mind and spirit can remain tethered—still replaying arguments, still questioning our worth, still wearing the bruises someone else left behind. And this is where the biggest mistake happens: long after the relationship is gone, we continue to let the person who hurt us influence who we are, how we love, and how we show up for the next chapter.

Far too often, the collateral damage of heartbreak spills into new opportunities. We meet a new person but in...

A FRESH START AT NEW BEGINNINGS CHILD CARE AND ACADEMY

temp-post-image

In a quiet corner of the city stood a bright, welcoming building painted with colors that felt like sunshine. This was New Beginnings Child Care and Academy—a place many parents called “the perfect beginning” for any child.

Every morning, the halls filled with laughter, tiny footsteps, and the warm greetings of teachers who didn’t just show up for work—they showed up with purpose. The staff at New Beginnings were more than educators; they were nurturers, protectors, and guides. Each one of them continuously attended updated training and advanced classes, not simply to check a box, but to sharpen their skills, expand their knowledge, and stay ahead of the evolvin...

HIGHLAND PARK’S THANKSGIVING: COMMUNITY GENEROSITY AMID POLITICAL NEGLECT

temp-post-image

Highland Park, this Thanksgiving tells a story far bigger than donated meals—it exposes the ongoing political neglect that keeps families dependent on charity rather than supported by real policy. While J. Douglas Hollie and the H.P. Polar Bear Express Team provided 100+ Thanksgiving bundles, feeding roughly 1,000 residents, the sheer scale of need highlights a city where leadership too often celebrates survival instead of delivering solutions.

The meals were distributed by City Council President Pro-Tem Sharmaine Robinson, Pastor Robert D. “Bobby” Lodge, Lt. Jamillie Edwards and volunteers who stepped in where local and state systems continue to fall short. Robinson state...
