Headlined by A Flock of Seagulls, the GRAMMY-winning band best known for the iconic hit I Ran (So Far Away), the night also features original new wave pioneers Bow Wow Wow featuring Annabella and the infectious pop energy of Animotion, known for their smash Obsession. These legendary acts defined a generation—and now, they’re ready to light up Detroit’s waterfront with the sounds that shaped the MTV era.
“This concert is a full-on 80’s celebration,” said Shahida Mausi, President of The Right Productions, which operates The Aretha. “From the hair to the hits, the I Love The 80’s tour brings the soundtrack of a generation to one of Detroit’s most iconic stages.
