Beloved Food Truck Expands into a Permanent Home
with Carry-Out, Delivery, and a Bigger Menu

One of Metro Detroit’s favorite food trucks is officially putting down roots. The Pita Post, known for its crave-worthy pitas, fresh salads, and Mediterranean-inspired eats, is opening its first-ever storefront at 2520 W. 14 Mile Road in Royal Oak.
After years of serving loyal fans from the road, The Pita Post is shifting gears and expanding into a fixed location designed exclusively for carry-out, delivery, and catering. With the new space comes an expanded menu, extended hours, and a year-round presence—no more winter breaks.

“We’re beyond excited to take this next step,” said Tal Sasson, co-owner of The Pita Post. “What started as a mobile dream has grown into something truly special, thanks to the support of our incredible community. This storefront gives us the chance to offer more of what people love—fast, flavorful food—with even more convenience."

Guests can place orders online or visit the shop to use self-serve kiosks for easy, contactless ordering. The carry-out model keeps the process quick and efficient, perfect for busy families, workers on lunch breaks, or anyone craving fresh Modern Mediterranean fare on the go.
“Our special pita bread is made fresh daily, creating a soft, pillowy pocket like nothing else,” stated Imri Warfman partner with Sasson. “We are committed to using only the finest ingredients in our menu items, combining them with fresh veggies and topping them off with our flavorful sauces.

Menu favorites making their way from the truck to the storefront include the crispy SHNITZEL, The Chicken Shawarma Pita, Falafel Bowl, Beef Cheesesteak, and the ever-popular Cauliflower Salad. New additions will feature rice bowls, hummus bowls, new sides, and seasonal rotating specials—giving longtime fans even more reasons to come back.

While the storefront offers a permanent home base, The Pita Post isn’t giving up its wheels just yet. Fans can still find the truck this summer at top local spots like Detroit Fleat and the Birmingham Farmers Market, continuing to bring the flavor to festivals and events across Metro Detroit.
