'Tales From The D' will screen the Don Was Episode in the theatre at the Detroit Historical Museum on Friday May 30th at 6pm.

The Tales from the D Premiere Series at the Detroit Historical Museum will debut four episodes, each featuring a deep dive into the past, present, and future works of Detroit’s music legends. Each event will feature a new artist, cash bar, delicious food from Oak House Deli, and gallery performance by a featured artist.

Don Was founded Was (Not Was) in 1981 and became a highly respected record producer, collaborating with artists like Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, and Iggy Pop. A multi-Grammy winner, he also worked as a musical director for films, earning a BAFTA for Backbeat and directing the Brian Wilson documentary I Just Wasn't Made for These Times. Since 2012, he has served as President of Blue Note Records.
