She founded Skinphorea, Metro Detroit’s first facial bar and acne clinic, building it into a multi location enterprise that served thousands of clients and pioneered a sought after 90 day acne bootcamp. Through that venture, she demonstrated how professional skincare could be both results driven and accessible.
Today, as CEO of The Hayes Institute of Esthetics & Entrepreneurship, Hayes leads a broader mission focused on economic mobility and generational wealth. In partnership with the State, she established a first of its kind esthetics and business institute designed to equip aspiring and licensed beauty professionals to launch and scale profitable businesses. The Hayes Institute delivers advanced skincare education, esthetician licensure training, and real world business development while creating meaningful career pathways. Under her leadership, graduates have launched successful ventures that contribute to job creation and strengthen Detroit’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Hayes is equally committed to empowering women and underrepresented founders through the Wealth InvestHer Network, which she co founded to help women achieve financial independence and business success. Across her ventures, she has created hundreds of jobs and hands on training opportunities, reinvesting directly into the Metro Detroit community.
A Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses alumna and class speaker, Ernst and Young inaugural cohort graduate, and sought after national and international speaker, Hayes has shared her expertise from Detroit Startup Week to business seminars in Rome and Florence. Announcement: The Hayes Institute Expands into Medical Aesthetics
The Hayes Institute is expanding its impact by offering advanced medical aesthetics education and business training for nurses and physicians seeking to open, reposition, or expand their medspa practices.
In partnership with Dr. Alicia Shelby, Wealth InvestHer Elite member and medical professional, The Hayes Institute will offer four week cohort based training programs focused on Botox, dermal fillers, microneedling, chemical peels, foundational skin science, and essential business fundamentals for profitability.
Cohorts begin this spring. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet directly with funding partners upon completion of the program, with access to potential funding of up to 50,000 dollars to support practice launch or expansion.
