Joe Finn Deserves His Flowers

There are certain people who enter your life at exactly the right moment. They don’t always realize the impact they’re having, but their influence changes your direction in ways that can never be measured. For me, that person is Joe Finn.
I met Joe during one of the most pivotal seasons of my life. After relocating to Houston, I found myself rebuilding both personally and professionally while working to become the best father I could be for my daughter. It was a season filled with uncertainty, growth, and a determination to create a better future.
From the very first day we met, Joe’s character stood out. His wisdom, humility, and generosity were impossible to ignore. He has an incredible ability to lead without seeking attention, to encourage without judging, and to build meaningful relationships that leave people stronger than they were before.
Joe doesn’t simply talk about making a difference. He lives it every day.
Whether he’s offering guidance, connecting people with opportunities, or simply taking the time to invest in someone else’s success, Joe has a gift for bringing out the best in others. His influence extends far beyond his own accomplishments because he understands that true leadership is measured by how many people you help along the way.
His example challenged me to become a better man, a better leader, and most importantly, a better father.
Because of the tremendous impact he had on my life and on so many others, it was one of the greatest honors of my career to present Joe with the F.A.T.H.E.R.S. Organization Outstanding Father Award.
That recognition represented much more than exceptional fatherhood. It celebrated a man who consistently strengthens families, encourages communities, and pours into people without expecting anything in return. Joe has the rare ability to leave every person he encounters better than he found them, and that is a legacy worth celebrating.
When people speak about success, they often focus on titles, wealth, or accomplishments. I believe a person’s greatest achievement is found in the lives they positively influence. By that measure, Joe Finn is extraordinarily successful.
His legacy isn’t written only through what he has achieved. It is written through the countless people he has inspired, mentored, encouraged, and empowered to become better versions of themselves. I know that because I am one of them.
Giving someone their flowers means recognizing them while they can still appreciate the impact they’ve made. Joe Finn has earned those flowers many times over, and I am grateful for the opportunity to publicly thank him for the difference he has made in my life.
Thank you, Joe, for leading with integrity, serving with humility, and reminding all of us that the greatest leaders are those who help others rise.
