Born and raised on the west side of Detroit, DJ Jinzo is quickly becoming one of the city’s most exciting musical exports. Although his official DJ journey began in January 2022, music has always been at the center of his life. Growing up, Jinzo immersed himself in a variety of instruments, including the electric guitar, keyboard, and trumpet. That early musical foundation gave him a deep understanding of rhythm, melody, and composition that now separates him from many of his peers behind the turntables.

Inspired by legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix, DJ Jinzo developed an appreciation for artistry and innovation at an early age. As he honed his skills as a DJ, he studied the techniques of iconic turntablist DJ Jazzy Jeff, whose creativity and technical precision helped shape Jinzo’s approach to the craft.

At just 30 years old, DJ Jinzo possesses a musical range far beyond his years. Effortlessly mixing old school and new school techniques, he has crafted a signature style that resonates with audiences of all ages. Whether spinning classic soul, hip hop, house, R&B, ghetto tech, or today’s biggest hits, Jinzo transitions seamlessly between genres, creating an energy that keeps dance floors packed and crowds wanting more.

That versatility has made DJ Jinzo one of the most sought after DJs to emerge from Detroit in recent years. His reputation for delivering high energy performances and unforgettable sets has earned him coveted DJ slots at events both nationally and internationally.

While he does not currently produce music independently, DJ Jinzo collaborated with his friend Kaangbeats on the ghetto tech project Detroit Aeauxx Vol. 1, further demonstrating his commitment to Detroit’s rich musical legacy.
