In a city defined by resilience and reinvention, Clift Roach II stands as a shining example of what it means to lead with purpose. A proud Detroit native and graduate of the esteemed University of Detroit Jesuit High School, Clift has long been a champion for his community—committed to growth, empowerment, and creating meaningful spaces where professionals can thrive.
As the curator and host of Networking at Night Detroit, Clift has helped shape one of the city’s most impactful professional events. What began as a collaborative vision has evolved into a powerful experience that brings together emerging leaders, innovators, and seasoned professionals in an environment that sparks inspiration and real connections. His events have become the gold standard for what modern networking should look like: inclusive, intentional, and rooted in community.

Clift’s journey is marked by both ambition and service. After earning his degree in Business Marketing from Saginaw Valley State University in 2017, he quickly stepped into leadership roles, serving as marketing coordinator for the university’s Black Student Union. It was there that his passion for gathering and empowering others began to bloom—a passion that has only grown stronger over the years.
In 2019, Clift pivoted into the financial services industry, becoming a licensed advisor and quickly establishing himself as a trusted expert. In just five years, he has helped secure over $400 million in wealth planning for clients in over 25 states—offering guidance to professionals across industries and walks of life.
Clift’s work has not gone unnoticed. He has been named Hour Magazine’s Best Financial Planner in Detroit, and has been featured on CBS Detroit and WDIV Local 4 News. He is also the proud recipient of the Spirit of Detroit Award, presented by Detroit City Council President and mayoral candidate Mary Sheffield, honoring his leadership and community impact.

Looking ahead, Networking at Night Detroit is expanding into a membership-based community—designed to deepen connections and offer access to critical resources in personal finance, business development, law, fitness, and community services.
Clift Roach II is doing more than organizing events—he’s cultivating a movement, elevating Detroit, and ensuring that the future of networking is both inclusive and transformative.
