Caleb Robinson and Reaching. Fusing neo-soul, jazz, gospel, and hip-hop, this genre-blending group delivers a sound that’s both spiritual and forward-thinking.
Led by drummer and visionary composer Caleb Robinson, Reaching is part of a new wave of artists reshaping modern jazz. Their emotionally charged performances and tight, improvisational energy are drawing comparisons to artists like Robert Glasper and Terrace Martin — and they’re doing it with a distinctly Detroit spirit.
