Detroit’s legendary jazz destination Cliff Bell’s — “the place to be in Detroit!” according to The New York Times — is celebrating a major milestone: 20 years since its celebrated re-opening of the historic club originally opened in 1935.

To honor this momentous anniversary, Cliff Bell’s is presenting a special weekend of live jazz events featuring acclaimed musicians and dynamic performances:

- Thursday, February 5: Sean Dobbins Organ Trio — Detroit-born jazz great opens the anniversary weekend with swinging rhythms and soulful grooves.
- Friday, February 6: Michael Jellick Quartet — World-renowned pianist returns from NYC for an unforgettable evening of jazz artistry.
- Saturday, February 7: De’Sean Jones UAO with Blaque Dynamite — Detroit saxophonist, recording artist, and Grammy-recognized arranger closes out the weekend with boundary-pushing jazz expression.

Each night offers two seatings at 7:30pm & 9:30pm with doors opening at 5pm for dinner, making this a perfect blend of music, dining, and classic Detroit culture.

Located in the heart of downtown Detroit, Cliff Bell’s combines timeless Art Deco ambiance, world-class live jazz, and an unforgettable culinary experience — ideal for feature coverage in arts, entertainment, or local lifestyle segments.
