The Right Productions and Chase Host Free Detroit Back-to-School Summer Send-Off at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre
Free community event features backpacks, a financial wellness workshop, local resources and family-friendly entertainment
As summer winds down and families prepare for a new school year, The Right Productions and Chase will host the Back to School: Summer Send-Off on Friday, Aug. 28, from 3–5 p.m. at The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, 2600 Atwater St. in Detroit.
The free community celebration is designed to help Detroit students and their families begin the school year feeling prepared, supported and celebrated. The afternoon will feature a free backpack giveaway (while supplies last), a financial wellness workshop presented by Chase, community resource tables and music from a live DJ.
“We want Detroit students to begin the school year feeling confident, encouraged and prepared to succeed,” said Shahida Mausi, President, CEO The Right Productions. “The Aretha has always been a place where the community comes together, and we are proud to partner with Chase to provide families with backpacks, financial education and valuable resources in a fun and welcoming environment.”
Admission is free, but advance registration is required.
