Ariell “Ari” Jones, the dynamic founder of Ari Party Hair, has announced the expansion of her e-commerce platform that specializes in hair care products tailored for Black women. Since its launch in 2020, Ari Party Hair has rapidly emerged as a vital resource within Detroit's diverse community, offering an extensive range of high-quality wigs, extensions, and essential hair care products designed to meet unique styling needs.

Jones’ mission transcends mere product provision; she is dedicated to empowering individuals through self-expression and inclusivity. Alongside her comprehensive product line, Jones has cultivated a supportive community via her ‘private party’ blog and plans to host educational seminars to guide both consumers and beauty professionals.

A trained chef, Jones' path to beauty entrepreneurship was marked by resilience and adaptability, especially amid the uncertainties of the pandemic. Recognizing the scarcity of Black-owned beauty supply stores in Detroit, she pivoted her career to launch Ari Party Hair, aiming to provide accessible alternatives and reduce the financial burdens of salon visits by equipping customers with the tools and knowledge for independent hair management.

“I started Ari Party Hair to fill a crucial gap in our community,” Jones explained. “As a chef navigating uncertain times during the pandemic, I discovered a new path by leveraging my passion for beauty and empowering others to embrace their unique style.”

A Detroit west side native, Jones is working towards opening a physical beauty supply store in the Dexter-Davison-Linwood area—a community dear to her heart. The upcoming brick-and-mortar location will feature a diverse product range, including popular brands such as Bold Hold and Frontal Queen wigs, along with Ari Party Hair's own line of extensions and exclusive products. From essential hair care items like shampoo and conditioner to specialized tools and accessories such as HD wig caps and edge control wax sticks, the store aims to meet every aspect of modern hair care routines.

Jones’ commitment to community empowerment has been recognized through an award from the Motor City Match program, highlighting her dedication to sustainable business growth and community impact.
