Gerrard Allen or Doc G. is a Detroit based poet, an international educator and serial entrepreneur. He received his degrees in communication and urban education from EMU and U of M. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D.

Gerrard writes for Black people of all ages. He uses poetry to inspire and empower young people through his writing workshop, The Rebirth Arts Academy. Doc G. believes that everyone has a poem in them, they just have to get it out. Well, here he is getting his out in the Beautiful Machine Magazine Poetry Series: No Disclaimers.
