Last night fans were treated to a royal feast of Hiphop courtesy of Royce Da 5'9".
Mikey Eckstein’s Embarco Entertainment and Heaven Studio hosted the album release concert for Royce’s latest release “The Allegory” and judging from the crowd’s reaction, "The Allegory" is posed to be another classic by the Detroit MC.
The show was opened by various acts lead by Embarco’s own Jaifive; Dj Thrilla; Redd;Young N’ Destined; Dj TJ and Kid Vishis, all with incredible sets and it just got better from there.
I got a chance to ask Embarco Entertainment CEO Mickey Eckstein why is there so much interest in Detroit Hiphop right now? His reply, "Detroit is full talent and the industry is finally giving us their full attention, we’ve always had a great Hiphop scene but now the word is finally taking note.”
And from the looks of Jaifive, the future of Detroit Hiphop is bright.
The event also brought out the who’s who in Detroit. Crooked I; Trick Trick ; Ty Farris; IV Duncan; Diezel and Marv One, who were all in the building. It was a beautiful crowd and the energy was amazing!
The Allegory is available on all streaming platforms.
