One of my main goals as “the lady with the golden ear” is to keep you updated on the dopest upcoming/most underrated artist. That’s why the name was given to me because I have such a ear for good music and I’m always turning my friends on and I take complete pride in doing so. The saying is “people who introduce you to new music will live in your life forever.” I’m just here to make my markπŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ‘‚

Today I introduce @samohtmusic. He’s been taking the independent world and turning it upside down. He’s definitely one you want to tune into. His soulful sound, coupled with his ability to control his range from high to low notes and the versatility in his writing skills completely sets him apart from many of the artist today. He’s one that stands out in the crowd.

I recently had a chance to interview Samoht not long ago, which I’m completely excited about! Be sure you connect with @samohtmusic and let him bless you musically! Oh and yes you can Thank Me Later!!!! πŸ’ƒπŸ½πŸ‘‚πŸ’«

CM: My first question for clarity, for myself and others reading this interview, I must say I think its pretty clever that you took your name and spelled it backwards to create your Artist name, that’s pretty dope where did you get the idea from? And I’ve gotta ask how is your name actually pronounced?

Samoht: Suh Mo is how you pronounce my name. The “t” is silent. I have a small infatuation with mirrors. I like how they show the other side of one’s self.

CM: I love your sound its so bluesy and soulful sounding, your range is just amazing and your songs.. they’re not only soulful but you’ve got a variety of different styles of music you offer your fans… I’ve gotta know where your musical influence comes from? And how would you describe your sound?

Samoht: My musical influences come from 5 different genres. Classical, R&B, Hip Hop, Southern Gospel, and Country. I wouldn’t use these sounds to describe my music though. I’d say my sound is if water, air, earth, and fire met up to make music together.

CM: You’ve done so well for yourself as an independent artist, would you like to go major or are you planning to stay independent?

Samoht: Thank you, I take great pride in being self made. When it comes to staying independent or going major I tend to focus on the fact that with or without a label I’m going to win regardless.

CM: Of your current projects do you have a personal favorite song or project overall?

Samoht: One of my favorite songs created by myself is “Moving On” and my favorite project is “Alpha”.

CM: What has been the best performance of your career so far?

Samoht: All of my performances are the best. I treat each performance like it’s my last because it very well could be.

CM: Whats to be expected in the future? Any plans for a new release anytime soon

Samoht: I’m currently working on a new album. This album will have a few features no one would expect. I love where I’m at right now sonically.
