LeBron James is one of the richest sportsmen in the world, one of those who managed to diversify his business the most beyond the NBA arenas. Not just basketball, but much more. For example, spirits such as tequila. LeBron's Tequila Reposado is the best in the world, even better than Michael Jordan's.

Tequila Reposado won the San Francisco World Spirit Competition, which this year saw 5 thousand spirits from all over the world compete with 50 judges. James's Lobos 1707 Reposado Tequila is the cheaper of the two, with an average estimate of $ 51 per bottle.

It is the more delicate of the two references, from Blue Weber agave aged six months in American white oak barrels, before being blended with Lobos 1707 Tequila Extra Añejo and finally resting in Pedro Ximénez wine barrels.

Diego Osorio, Chief Creative Officer of Lobos 1707, a Tequila manufacturing company of which LeBron James is co-owner, explained: "We are extremely proud that our tequila is recognized by the most prestigious alcohol competition in the world.

My priority has always been to maintain the our promise to create a great tasting product and receiving this award proves that we have done just that." All Lobos 1707 tequilas, including joven and extra añejo, are made from 100% blue weber agave harvested and distilled in Jalisco, in the heart of the most suitable land for this distillate.

All the products subject to aging are then left to rest in old Pedro Ximénez barrels. Tequila Reposado is aged at least three months in oak barrels, with more complex aromas than the more common Blanco and Joven, while later with aging we have Tequila Añejo and Extra Añejo.

Cincoro Reposado is aged for eight to ten months in ex-bourbon barrels, in the distillery's underground cellar.

A peculiar process for a result on the palate where strong hints of sweet cooked agave emerge, initially supported by hints of vanilla and delicate spices on the palate, which then evolve into greater sweetness with caramel and white chocolate.
