In America, the male to female ratio is 97 to 100. That doesn’t seem that bad, right? But there are other factors that must be considered.

There are about two million men incarcerated in the United States.

As of 2020, according to 3.1% identify as bisexual and 1.4% identify as gay, and the number is rising; keep in mind these numbers only represent the people who are openly gay, so the real number is considerably higher.

The poverty rate is 13.7% meaning their income is below $26,200.00 per year; however, according to the latest data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the annual mean wage for a full-time wage or salary worker in the United States is $35,977 per year (for a 40-hour work week).

According to the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES), 21 percent of adults in the United States (about 43 million) fall into the illiterate/functionally illiterate category.

On the other hand, Women have been earning more college degrees than men since the 1980s, and now for the first time, there are more college-educated women in the workforce than college-educated men.

Minority women have also attained more education, and this has resulted in big gains in job growth for this population. (Forbes magazine)

As you can see, women are on the raise making more money and gaining more political influence, and it’s great to see.

But here’s the bad news, there’s not enough good men to go around. But what is a good man? For the purpose of this article, we will define a good man as we see it.

A Good Man:
He’s mentally stable:
Of course, we all have trauma but he’s good to go mentally.

He was raised properly:
He has good manners, self-respect and respect for others.

He’s educated:
He has a least a bachelor’s degree or is a skilled tradesmen.

He’s well-traveled:
He’s seen a few things and he’s the kind of guy that knows a little about everything.

He’s funny:
He keeps you laughing and it’s always a good time when he’s around.

He’s Husband material:
He’s done playing the field and is ready to be a family man.

He has a spiritual base:
He may not be that religious, but he believes in a higher power and is prepared to lead his family spiritually.

Earning power:
These are the earnings by percentage according to Financial Samurai-

• Top 1%: $380,354 and up ($470,000+ in 2021)
• Top 5%: $159,619 ($180,000+ in 2021)
• Top 10%: $113,799 ($130,000+ in 2021)
• Top 25%: $67,280 ($80,000+ in 2021)
• Top 50%: >$33,048 ($35,000+ in 2021)

He’s loving and kind and makes you feel appreciated to the best of his ability.

So that’s our good Man. Before you start saying he doesn’t exist stop it! He does and he’s having a hard time finding love also.

Ladies don’t fret all is not lost we’re here to help. This is the first part of a three part expose, we’ll be examining what we believe are huge mistakes that are being made on both sides.

I believe the Man is a catch based on supply and demand. Of course, we’ll have an opposing view on why Women are the prize.

The goal here is to gain a better understanding for both sides and increase togetherness. Because like I mentioned, Men are suffering too.
