“Jealous or Justified is a monthly segment where we ask our readers to analyze the situation of someone who has asked for our help to see if the person is being Jealous or are they Justified in feeling the way they feel.

Please keep in mind that the term “Jealous” can mean many things in the context of this segment. It doesn’t and won’t always mean jealous in its true meaning. Perhaps the person is just in their feeling a bit too much.

I’ve known this Woman for over twenty years; we even dated in high school, she was really beautiful and smart and a fun person to be around.

As young love often does, after high school we went our separate ways. So imagine my surprise when she reached out to me wanting to get together.

It was like old times, she’s still smart and beautiful and honestly very sexy, she has aged very well. We were both single so we started dating, nothing serious just casual things we could do while dealing with the pandemic.

I’m a Doctor so there was a convention on the mental health effects of the pandemic and I was invited to speak. It was in a tropical setting and the hotel was going to be limited to health care professionals attending the conference and one guest so I invited her to be my guest. She was very excited to join me, after this past year the fresh air would do her some good as she put it.

We arrived 3 days earlier than my scheduled speech so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. We were having a great time. The atmosphere was incredible, she looked gorgeous and we were having a great time.

As an extra surprise I arranged for the room to decorated with candles and roses to make our first night very special and she loved it.

Things got hot and heavy and very passionate but just before we went all the way she asked me “where is your condom?" It was an instant mood killer, but as a Physician I understood.

So we started things back up but for me the passion was gone, I tried and tried but I just couldn’t get the happy ending I was working so hard for. I was sweating and my heart was really beating fast so I stopped. I told her maybe I’d had too much to drink or was just too tired.

So I disposed of the condom and we both went onto enjoy a peaceful sleep. A little while later she woke me up by kissing my back signifying she was ready for round two.

The passion was back and things were great! But when I had my happy ending she totally freaked out, she yelled ‘’where is the fucking condom? I know you didn’t go inside me without a condom!"

She was out of control she even said she felt like I raped her. She was loud, angry and saying some really crazy things.

After about ten minutes I was able to calm her down. I’m almost sure she knew I didn’t have on a condom at the time but she said she thought I did. So after several apologies and assuring her that I have a clean bill of health we both decided that it would be best for her to fly back home in the next morning.

Back home I tried to contact her for weeks but she never answered me, she blocked me on all social media also. It was clear that she didn’t want to hear from me again.

After three months, I finally heard from her but was shocked because she was suing me for pain and suffering due to the incident for $50,000.00.

This is ridiculous! I don’t want to pay her a penny but being a Physician this could destroy easily destroy me, but this is wrong.

I don’t know what to do, should I fight for what’s right or pay and put this behind me?

What’s even more disappointing is I really liked her!

Pay her and be done with this or fight for what is right?
