While Fall Is In Full Swing Now Is The Time To Start Planning your 2021 Golf Outing. Michigan Based Professional Golf Planners of America Is Ready To Help!

The cold winds may be blowing and the days getting shorter but believe it or not, now is the time to start planning for the 2021 golf outing season. Companies and nonprofits that launch their planning efforts now will be on track to recruit committee members, secure sponsors and get players to mark their calendars and sign up.

Fortunately, for organizations trying to juggle other pressing priorities, the work of planning and hosting a golf event doesn’t have to be done alone. Professional Golf Planners of America (PGPA) has the experience, skill and staff to do the heavy lifting while working effectively with inhouse teams. They organize a broad range of events, including business networking, charity, and private golf outings, to meet the needs of clients.

Led by founder and CEO Tony Comperchio, the PGPA team works behind the scenes and on the course to put these outings together in a seamless – and painless – manner. That includes help with everything from choosing the right golf course, selecting the food & beverages and planning special entertainment for the after-event gatherings.

“Our goal is to ensure that the folks hosting these events are maximizing the impact of the outings and achieving their fundraising and networking goals,” says Comperchio. “And, we make sure we offer events that all golfers and guests can enjoy and want to sign up for again and again.”

PGPA also hosts its own outings that support a growing number of nonprofit organizations. Recent outings supported Veterans4USA, which helps homeless veterans, and Shades of Pink Foundation, which assists breast cancer patients and survivors.

This year, as the pandemic has changed just about every facet of life, Comperchio and his team introduced two new services: a golf course staffing solution and indoor golf simulator tournaments.

“We know how much of a challenge it can be for golf courses to find staff with experience working on outings, weddings and other events, and we know how great a value it can be for organizers to work with employees who know the inner workings of an outing,” says Comperchio.

Like a traditional temp agency, this service will match skilled staffers with golf courses, helping ensure a professional experience for all involved.

The indoor golf simulator tournaments are a perfect way to engage golfers throughout the year, letting organizations host outings and events even as the snow flies. “We can do everything we would with a summertime, outdoor outing,” says Comperchio. “We can create customized and unique events, offering all of the extras that make these outings so memorable and enjoyable including gift bags, raffle prizes and silent auctions.”

Comperchio knows the benefits of a successful golf event first-hand. He launched PGPA in 2016 after spending years working as a supplier for a Fortune 100 company and attending numerous outings in support of local and national causes.

He found himself enjoying the outings and the way they can bring people together, build teams and transform a nonprofit’s bottom line. Comperchio soon joined the golf event committee for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund local chapter. He threw himself into the work and earned recognition as the event’s top fundraiser several years in a row.

With PGPA, Comperchio sought to expand the power of a successful outing and make them possible for organizations of all sizes, especially those who cannot afford to take team members away from their primary jobs to plan a large event.

“We just want people to have fun and help others in the process,” says Comperchio. “Putting together events can be stressful for some organizations and staffers. We want to eliminate that worry and let them know they can trust us to get the job done right for them.”

He adds, “At the same time, we want to support the needs of nonprofits and the constituents they serve. Especially right now, there are so many people and so many communities that need a helping hand – we know our golf outings can help.”
