It’s that time of the year where families gather to celebrate love, life, and the holidays. One thing is for sure, we’re all looking forward to some good food, laughter, and time away from our normal day to day lives.

Unfortunately, this time of the year is hard for some people. The holidays remind us of our loved ones who have passed on and that emptiness can be especially painful around this time of year.

But the holidays are all about family, and we need each another now more than ever before.

The thing that I love the most about my family is the unconditional love we share. I’ve also learned that family is more than just people you share a family bond with, family can be close friends that you share an breakable bond with, people that you truly love and loyalty makes you family.

Growing up in a family full of love I appreciate it even more now. I get to pass down the same family values and love to my son and show him the importance of family.

My parents always thought me that family comes first and that family is worth fighting for. Along the way I’ve have met friends that have became family and I would fight for them also.
